Mathematics Educator Appreciation Day Conference
The Fourth Annual Mathematics Educator Appreciation Day Conference was held this year on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at Tucson High Magnet School. The conference is hosted by the Center of Recruitment and Retention of Mathematics Teachers with help from outside sponsors.

Thirty-eight different conference sessions were offered. They addressed topics for middle school, high school, community college, and general interests. Titles included: Drugs and Drug Tests: Understanding through Multiple Representations, Facilitating the Transition to High School & College Math, Using Technology to Dazzle Your Middle School Students, Motivating Students to Do Math, Math Foldables, and many more. Presentors included classroom teachers, college and university professors, and various consultants. The topics were so diverse and so interesting that when faced with choosing her sessions, Myrna Hahn commented Too bad that I can't be in two places at the same time.

At the conclusion of the last session, a delicious luncheon was served at the University-Park Marriott. Deanna McDonald commented the chocolate cake was to die for!!
